Halloween
Wanting to be someone else is a waste of the person you are.
Trick-or-treating is accented with the donning of masks. Candy-givers consent to the charade with a wink and a smile. In the festivities it might be easy to forget that the masks we wear day-to-day fool no one but ourselves. We wear a mask at home, another at work. One at school, another at church. One on a date and another with a mate. Too many masks and we're confused, until reluctantly we pull the mask off only to proclaim, "Hey, it's me!" Truth begins from within. Being someone or something else for a day fools others. Being someone else beyond that fools only you. -vkm
